Me: I’m not having any gender issues. I am completely cis-gender.
Also me, rewriting my main character as a trans man: I am just an ally
Also also me, after buying a binder and putting it on, in tears: I’m just normalising transwear, because I’m a good ally
Me, a week later, googling drag king makeup and doing it obsessively on myself: Drag isn’t about gender I’m just challenging gender aesthetics because I’m a REALLY GOOD ALLY
Probably me in a few years, actually getting top surgery: I’m just being a really really good ally 🙃

This is an iconic trans artist whose work I really like, and she needs help. (I am a trans person myself.) She has a knack for making us laugh even when things are hard or scary. She deals with death threats all the time and keeps snarking anyway. She’s in a bad spot right now and needs new Patreon subscribers BADLY.
I’ve never seen her make this kind of appeal before, but her work is seriously invaluable. Here’s her instagram post about the situation: https://www.instagram.com/p/DA3_3Onsk1d/?igsh=MW5wOXIwZDdldmJsZw==
And here are some of my favorite t shirt designs from her, examples of how she is hilarious about hard things. You can find her webcomic Assigned Male posted on most of her social media accounts.

A man in the hot tub asked me what my dream job was.
I told him I wanted to write the screenplay for the Polly Pocket movie.
He asked if I had any higher career aspirations.
I said I wanted to write a 1400 page novel in the vein of War and Peace.
He asked what it would be about.
I told him: Polly Pockets.

Guys. Woke up last night with the best joke. And no one was awake so I couldn't say it. So I'm going to tell you guys the joke I came up with.
How does a car find its true gender identity?
It goes on a trans-mission.

Exclusive Interview: performance artist Krishna Istha on Hannah Gadsby's Gender Agenda Netflix special "I realized what I was doing was actually stand-up comedy"
London-based performance artist, writer, comedian, and theatre maker Krishna Istha first became interested in stand-up comedy when they saw Zoë Coombs Marr and Hannah Gadsby perform live. Seeing them in action “changed my perspective of what stand-up was and who it is for” recalls Istha, who is part of a lineup of seven genderqueer comedians—including Jes Tom and Mx. Dahlia Belle—in Hannah…

YouTube recommended this guy to me and he's pretty darn good.
I especially loved this joke about trans people:
I am a trans ally, of course. I actually ran into my old college roommate at the airport. I found out they had recently transitioned. And I was thrilled, Because I had forgotten their name.

It's only one small segment of his special, but you love to see it. 😄

based on a true story
(side note, it's very euphoric drawing my kid self as a girl! i'll have to do more of this!)
Edit: this has a proper image description now, written by @disasterhimbo
thank you very much! ID below the cut and in alt text:
[ID: a comic titled “Weird Girl: a comic by Scout Forester.” It’s full-color and in a cartoon style. It opens with close-ups of each of three children’s faces, all with big eyes and open mouths, observing a praying mantis in awe. An older kid comes up to them and says, “Hey shrimps! Don’t ya know we’re playin’ boys vs. girls right now? Why’re y’all weirdos just sittin’ around? Are y’all scared? Y’all chicken?” He is depicted towering over the younger children as he says this, but in the next panel, he is much less intimidating, just standing across from them on the playground equipment. One of the children, a girl with curly red hair, replies, “Um, we don’t wanna play that. We’re busy.” Another kid says, “We’re watchin’ a prayin’ mantis here, it’s real cool.” The bully, red-faced and sweaty with a red explosive background behind him, yells, “Sh-shut up! I’m big and you’re small, so I can make you play with me!” The redheaded girl looks at him inscrutably.
The next two panels are larger, with a black background. The redheaded girl closes her eyes. When she opens them again, she looks righteously angry, and only her eyes are in color. Next to her is a bust of a dinosaur with lightning bolts striking the dinosaur’s portrait. She says determinedly, “spirit of the pachycephalosaurus.” In a tiny panel, a simply-drawn version of the bully says, “wait, wha-” The last panel is the biggest, and depicts the redheaded girl headbutting the bully and knocking the wind out of him with a comic-book style, all-caps “wham!” The praying mantis is perched on the bars of the playground equipment and the sun is shining behind both kids, giving a dramatic lighting effect. End ID.]
